IGNAAS DEVISCH
PROFESSOR OF ETHICS, PHILOSOPHY & MEDICAL PHILOSOPHY
Ignass Devisch is a professor of philosophy, medical philosophy, and ethics. He works as a philosopher at Ghent University and regularly publishes and speaks both domestically and internationally, addressing both specialized and general audiences. He spent 5 years as a guest researcher at Radboud University in Nijmegen. His research primarily focuses on the field of medical philosophy and ethics.
He has authored 16 books, approximately one hundred scientific papers in academic journals, chapters in scientific books, and numerous opinion pieces. In early 2016, his book "Restlessness: Plea for an Immoderate Life" was published by De Bezige Bij. Additionally, "The Excess of Empathy" was published in 2017.
