Sarah Boers

Sarah Boers is a researcher of organoid technology at Utrecht Medical Center. Sarah does research on ethical implications involved oranoids. Regarding the moral status of organoids, we recognize organoids as hybrids. Organoids are grown from human tissue samples and they represent the donors and their bodies, identity and values. The challenge lies in enabling (partial) commercialization of organoids to stimulate biomedical innovation, while respecting the values and interests of donors and society.
